Cookie Policy

The cookies and browser storage Monirum uses, what they do, and how to clear them.

Last updated: 14 January 2026Effective: 14 January 2026

Overview

Monirum uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and remember small preferences. We don't use cookies for advertising or third-party analytics.

Short version: a session cookie keeps you signed in, a language cookie remembers your language, and small UI preferences live in your browser's local storage. That's it.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website asks your browser to keep. The next time you visit, the browser sends them back so the site can recognise you, keep you signed in, or remember choices you've made.

Local storage is similar but lives entirely in your browser — it's never sent to our servers. We use it for small UI preferences.

Both are first-party cookies — they're set by Monirum, not by an outside company.

3. Local storage we use

These entries live in your browser only and are never sent to our servers:

  • Sidebar state — remembers which sidebar sections you had open last time.
  • Favourite boards— remembers which task boards you've starred.

Clearing your browser's site data removes these — the next time you sign in, they reset to defaults.

4. Third-party cookies

Monirum doesn't use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If you sign in with Google or Microsoft, that sign-in flow happens on their site, under their own cookie policies — we don't set or read those cookies from here.

If we ever add a third-party analytics or marketing tool, we'll show a consent banner first and list it in this section before turning it on.

5. How to manage cookies

You're always in control:

  • Browser settings— every modern browser lets you block or delete cookies for a specific site. If you block our session cookie, you won't be able to stay signed in.
  • Sign out — clears your active session cookie immediately.
  • Clear site data — removes both our cookies and any local storage from your browser at once.

Guides for the most common browsers: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge.

6. Updates to this policy

If we change the cookies or browser storage Monirum uses, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes we'll post a notice inside the app.
