PRODUCTS

Every product. One workspace.

From the first idea to a retired SKU — one record per product, with linked research and samples, organized files, and the conversations and tasks that touched it. No more chasing five spreadsheets to answer "where is this one?"

Workflow

Spec it. Link it. Ship it.

The same lifecycle every brand operator runs in their head — except this one keeps the research, the samples, the files, the notes and the costs attached to the same product instead of scattered across a folder, a Slack thread, and a memory.

STEP 01

Spec a new product

Title, ASIN, SKU, tags, and the stage you're starting from. Two clicks and the record is live — connected to the workspace immediately.

ASIN
Pending · 1st marketplace
Starting stage

STEP 02

Link research, samples and files

Connect a Demand snapshot, a Cash & Stock plan, a Sourcing supplier — KPI tiles fill themselves. Drop the inspection PDF, the BOM, the hero shots — organized by folder, tag, and version on the product.

Sampling1 SKU
Production2 SKUs
Inbound1 SKU
STEP 03

Ship it — and keep the record

Mark live, FBA inbound completed, costs locked. The detail page becomes the source of truth: every file, every conversation, every task lives on the SKU.

Tab · Pipeline

A pipeline that shows where every SKU actually is.

Six stages, one column each. Drag a card to advance — or use the keyboard. Every transition records who moved it, when, and why, so you never lose the audit trail.

  • Stages: Research · Sourcing · Sampling · Production · Inbound · Live.
  • Custom stages per workspace — rename, reorder, or hide what doesn't apply.
  • Stage transitions log who, when, and why — visible on the activity tab.

Tab · Overview

Link the research. Link the samples. Read every number in one place.

Open any product — at any stage, live or not. Landed cost, target price, net margin, MOQ — each tile says where its number came from (Cash & Stock · Demand · Supplier). Change a linked snapshot, the tiles re-read on the next save.

  • Link a Demand or Cash & Stock snapshot — the KPI tile fills itself and stays in sync.
  • Empty tiles tell you which tool to connect ("Connect a Demand snapshot").
  • Works for every product — research stage, sampling, live, or retired — not just active SKUs.
Linked research

Every snapshot that touched this product, in one library.

The list on the left is the real Overview card stack — Linked research + Top suppliers. The graph on the right is a concept diagram for this page; the app surfaces those connections through the cost tiles' source pills, not a radial chart.

Tab · Costs

Eight cost tiles. Three connected tools. Zero copy-paste.

COGS and freight from Cash & Stock. Target price from Demand. MOQ from your supplier snapshot. Landed cost and net margin computed live. Every tile shows where its number came from — so when the cell changes, you know which source moved.

  • COGS / Freight / FBA / Referral pulled from the Realistic Cash & Stock snapshot.
  • Target price pulled from the Demand validation snapshot.
  • MOQ pulled from the connected Supplier — change the snapshot, the cell follows.
  • Landed cost + net margin computed on every save and pushed back to Cash & Stock.
Tab · Suppliers & Samples

Link every quote and every sample — keep the back-and-forth on the product.

Primary, backup, quoted, sample-in-transit. Side-by-side FOB price, MOQ, lead time, payment terms, and verdict — connected back to the Sourcing snapshot, so the supplier choice has receipts.

  • Link suppliers + samples from Sourcing — quotes and arrivals stay attached to the product.
  • Sample tracker — what was shipped, what arrived, what was approved or rejected.
  • Supplier snapshots auto-fill the cost tiles — change the snapshot, the FOB updates.

Tab · Activity

A timeline you can defend in a stand-up.

Every stage change, every linked snapshot, every uploaded file, every task — logged with who and when. Filter by Stage / Live / Links / Edits / Tasks to scope the noise.

  • System events (Cash & Stock linked, supplier connected) sit alongside human edits.
  • Per-event icons map the real event taxonomy — stage moves, link/unlink, tag changes.
  • Linked back to the snapshot — click "linked research" to jump to the Cash & Stock plan.

The PSD, the inspection PDF, the to-do — all attached to the product.

Files live on the product — drag, drop, rename, delete. Tasks live on the product too, with assignee, due date, and priority. The next person opens the SKU and knows exactly where things stand.

  • Inspection reports, BOMs, hero shots, supplier quotes — kept on the product, not in a shared drive.
  • Tasks: assignee, due date, urgent / high / medium / low priority — synced to the workspace Tasks board.
  • Linked file shortcuts surfaced automatically from connected research and supplier snapshots.

The conversation lives with the SKU, not in Slack.

Decisions, debates, inspection notes — pinned to the product they're about. New team members can scroll the thread and know why you chose walnut over maple.

  • Pinned threads for high-context decisions (e.g. "Why we bumped MOQ to 3,600").
  • Reply threads with @mentions — notifies the assignee.
  • Linked back to the file, the task, or the stage transition that triggered it.

Lot 2024-07 had 4 units with blade play >0.3mm. I quarantined the lot — proposing we deduct $0.18/unit from the next PO. Photos in Files.

Hero shot v3 — keep walnut wood or switch to maple?
Monirum · 2d ago

Walnut reads more "premium" but maple actually matches the product better. Listing photos team to vote by EOD.

6 replies·Reply·Share
Should we bump MOQ from 2,400 to 3,600?
Mei · Last week

Supplier offering 6% off if we go to 3,600. Cash plan says we can absorb it but cuts buffer to 22 days.

Questions

What operators ask before they wire up their catalog.

Don't see your question? Reach out — every message gets read.

Talk to a human
Does this work for products that aren't live yet?

Yes — every product, at every stage. Research-stage ideas, sampling SKUs, products in production, products on Amazon, products you've retired. The Pipeline view groups them by stage so you can scan the full portfolio at once.

How is this different from a generic product database?

Products is the spine of the workspace. The same records flow into Cash & Stock Plan, Demand Validation, Competitor Tracker, and Tasks — so margin, sourcing notes, and follow-ups all reference the same row of truth. Linked research and supplier snapshots auto-fill the cost tiles.

Can I customize the pipeline stages?

Yes — Research / Sourcing / Sampling / Production / Inbound / Live are the defaults, but workspaces can rename, reorder, or hide stages. Custom stages preserve audit history.

What happens to costs when a PO updates?

Cost history is append-only — each PO is a row with date, MOQ, and per-unit cost. Landed cost is the live rolling number; the SKU detail page shows the per-PO trail and flags +N% deltas.

Do files have version history?

Yes. Uploading a file with the same name as an existing file creates a new version. The old version is still accessible and the activity feed records the swap.

Can I bulk-import SKUs from a CSV?

Yes — name, ASIN, SKU, starting stage, and tags. Bulk-import is rate-limited per workspace; large imports surface as background jobs with progress visible on the Activity feed.
